During the last week of November, All Island began their 2016 holiday-themed taxi campaign with all proceeds going towards benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island (RMHLI) in New Hyde Park. These taxis will spread some holiday cheer while doing a whole lot of good for families in need.
Giving Back to the Ronald McDonald House with All Island Transportation
From November 23 to December 31, a bright red holiday-themed All Island taxi will be on the road 24/7. For a limited time, you can ride in style while simultaneously donating to an important cause. Also, keep an eye out for another holiday taxi from our sister company, All Island Yellow Cab.
The taxi features a bright red exterior, with a Christmas light display across the side and antlers out of each backseat window. Al the Elf, All Island’s Elf on the Shelf, graces the rooftop display with the message “Season’s Greetings from Al the Elf.”
The holiday-themed taxi wouldn’t be complete without the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island’s name and signature logo written on the side. The rear window will also display a “Stop DWI” message to combat the dangers of drunk driving during the holiday season.
“We Give With Every Ride”
In keeping with their “We Give with Every Ride” campaign, a dollar from every taxi fare from November 23 to December 31 will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island.
“Giving back to the community is what the holidays are all about. We also hope our ‘Stop DWI’ message will inspire people to plan ahead and avoid the many tragic accidents that occur every holiday season,” said All Island Transportation President Marianne Blessinger.
All Island and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island
This campaign is just one small aspect of the ongoing relationship between All Island Transportation and RHMLI. Since 2013, All Island has provided unlimited complimentary transportation to families of sick children who use Ronald McDonald House as their home-away-from-home.
On All Island’s charitable work, Hempstead Town Supervisor Anthony J. Santino said, “We are confident that their contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island will go a long way toward helping families in need.”
If you catch a ride in the bright red taxi this holiday season, you’ll know that your fare will go towards much more than just paying for that trip.
