Posted by Lawrence Blessinger on Sep 18, 2019 9:00:00 AM

New York Comic Con is the second day of the year, behind Halloween, where it’s acceptable to dress up as your favorite character and not have anyone blink an eye about it. It’s an event where award-winning comic artists and anime creators are all together in one place for you to either meet, or listen to at a panel. With stars from your favorite movies or television shows in attendance you can create memories and be surrounded by people all interested in the same things as you are.

New York Comic Con Facts

New York Comic Con will be held in the Javits Center, located at 655 West 34th Street, on October 3-October 6.  This annual convention is dedicated to showcasing your favorite western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies and television shows. The price of a ticket varies on how many days you plan to attend and how many you purchase.

New York Comic Con is the east coast’s largest pop culture convention. In 2018, over 250,000 fans attended the convention over the course of the weekend. From Thursday to Saturday, the show floor hours go from 10a.m.-7p.m. and on Sunday 10a.m.-5p.m. The panels hours however, are Thursday to Saturday 10:30a.m.-10p.m. and Sunday is 10:30a.m.-5p.m.

You can dress up as your favorite characters to take photographs or get a few signatures. You’ll have access to exclusive fandom gear and exceptional artwork. This is the time to embrace your inner villain or superhero and embrace the area around you.

Anime Fest 2019

Just a block away from the Javits Center at the Hudson Mercantile is an exciting Anime Fest hosted by the New York Comic Con. Here you can attend exclusive and intimate anime panels and signings, interactive and immersive experiences and even after-hours parties. This is a space for anime lovers alike to meet their favorite artists and talent. The goal of this event is to make 2019 the best representation of anime thus far at the New York Comic Con, a place for anime lovers to feel at home.

At Comic Con, you’ll be surrounded by fans exactly like you. And that is a great experience for everyone. This is definitely an event that needs to be checked out. Head over to the website and see all of the guests they’ll have featured. You may get a chance to meet your favorite people!
