Crow’s Nest Cove
Freeport’s Nautical Mile is typically recognized as having one of Nassau’s most popular restaurant and nightlife scenes. However, it also has one of the top Long Island mini golf courses: Crow’s Nest Cove. This 18-hole miniature golf course is entirely pirate-themed with holes that feature a shipwreck and even a waterfall.
Take the family out to dinner at one of the many delicious Nautical Mile restaurants on the block, then hit Crow’s Nest Cove. Afterwards, visit the old-fashioned ice cream parlor next door to try one of their tasty, homemade flavors.
Don’t let the name fool you, Batter Up in Bethpage does in fact have a full scale batting cage, but it also has a beautiful 18-hole mini golf course, too! For just $7.50 per person, you can enjoy this simple course that’s perfect for all ages and skill sets.
If you’re looking for more fun after your round, hit a few balls in the batting cage where they also regularly offer hitting clinics, lessons and contests. Batter Up is even great for children’s birthday parties!
For a unique experience, look no further than Glowgolf, the hottest new craze in mini golf. The entire course, which is located on the concourse level of Garden City’s Roosevelt Field Mall, is under black lights, but the boundaries and features of each hole, along with the golf balls, glow in the dark.
Each hole has a creative setup and feature, like windmills and loop-the-loops, to ensure you have a mildly challenging, but totally fun time. There’s even a plinko-stlye hole where you win a prize if you sink your shot. Unlike other Long Island mini golf courses, Glowgolf consists of 27 holes, but, this summer, you can play the whole course twice for the price of one round!
Glowgolf even has a laser maze with three levels of difficulty to suit all skill sets. The goal is to get through the maze by ducking and dodging laser lights before reaching the end. It’s also incredibly popular for birthday parties and other group events.
You really won’t find many better summer activities than putting your way through these amazing Long Island mini golf courses!
