Summer might be unofficially over but that doesn’t mean we have to shut our doors and windows and begin winter hibernation. There’s plenty of outdoor fun to still be had, including tons of fun Long Island fairs! There’s crafts, games, food and more all over the island, so don’t miss out on a great time!

Westbury Market Fair

The Westbury Market Fair takes place every Saturday and Sunday through December! That means you have plenty of time to check out all the booths and delicious food trucks. There’s tons of activities to keep the kids occupied as well!

Long Beach Super Boardwalk & Street Fair

Have some fun at one of the best seaside towns on Long Island. Walk the boardwalk and find great vendors, a vast array of food choices, a petting zoo and pony rides. Long Beach isn’t just hosting your average street fair, it also includes a carnival all three days!

Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival

In one of the most unique Long Island fairs, the 2nd Annual Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival is a spectacle that can’t be missed. Dragon boats originated in southern central China as a ceremonial tradition and have since been adopted all over the world. Come learn the history and spirit of dragon boat racing and spend some time checking out the crafts and entertainment going on all day.

Long Island Garlic Festival

Attention all garlic lovers, head out to Riverhead for a weekend full of garlic and fun! Garden of Eve is hosting the Long Island Garlic Festival complete with organic garlic inspired dishes, live music, arts and crafts and sustainability education. Be a part of the Iron Chef Garlic Competition or just enjoy what the contestants cook up! There’s also Garlic Bingo and the Garlic Eating Contest.

23rd Annual Italian Festival

Each year Hofstra University hosts the Italian Festival to give Long Islanders an authentic Italian experience. The Italian Festival features handmade crafts, booths and exhibits, entertainment, and of course, delicious Italian food. Entertainment includes festival favorites like The San Remo Duo, Long Island Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra, Italian-American Writers and Poets and Bobby Valli performing the classic Jersey Boys songs.

Beer, Bacon, BBQ
Long Island Fairs

Spend a Saturday satisfying your taste buds! The Cradle of Aviation Museum is hosting the Beer, Bacon & BBQ Festival. As probably the most delicious of all Long Island fairs, the event features BBQ vendors and breweries from Montauk to California. Tickets are $65, which include a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited beer sampling and food sampling. Try spare ribs and craft brews while listening to live entertainment and playing games with friends.
