Although Cinco de Mayo isn’t an American holiday, that doesn’t stop people from celebrating like it is. Right here on Long Island, there will be many bars and restaurants throwing Cinco de Mayo parties of their own. Therefore, if you’re looking to enjoy the holiday in style, check out one of these exciting events in our area.

The Best Cinco de Mayo Parties of 2019

Salsa Mexicana

Located in the heart of Rockville Centre’s hip dining scene, the new Salsa Mexicana is already receiving rave reviews from neighborhood regulars and industry insiders. This year, they are also hosting one of the most anticipated Cinco de Mayo parties in the area.

On Saturday, May 4, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., guests can enjoy prizes, giveaways and a DJ playing all of today’s top hits. During and before the party, Salsa Mexicana will also be serving some of their signature dishes, such as:

  • Chimichanga
  • Salmon Ala Plancha
  • Steak Sofrito
  • Lobster Quesadilla

Margarita’s Café

With locations in East Meadow, Freeport, Long Beach, Merrick, Wantagh, Williston Park and more, it’s no surprise that Margaritas Café is one of the Long Island’s top annual Cinco de Mayo parties.

This Sunday, May 5, each of Margarita’s location will be serving amazing food like tacos, guacamole and, of course, nachos. There will also be tons of drinks and complimentary shots all day long. You can even expect live music to keep the party going deep into the evening.

For an out-of-this-world Cinco de Mayo experience, you really can’t go wrong with partying at any of the many Margarita’s Cafés.

Mangoes Mexican Bar and Grill

For an authentic Cinco de Mayo celebration, come down and visit Mangoes Mexican Bar and Grill in Bethpage. They have fun themed cocktails, delicious home-style dishes and quality service that combine for a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

For their big Cinco de Mayo party, Mangoes will be cooking up all of their popular Mexican dishes, including:
