2019 PGA Championship

For the second straight year, Majors golf is headed back to Long Island for the 2019 PGA Championship. Taking place at Bethpage State Park, the tournament will feature the world’s best players as they compete for one of the game’s top prizes. If you’re looking to attend between May 13 and 19, here is everything that you need to know about this world-class sporting event.

The 2019 PGA Championship: Everything you Need to Know

The Field

Although the tournament will feature most of the Top 100-ranked players in its field, there are a few golfers who will try to rise above the rest. For instance, look for Brooks Koepka, last year’s U.S. Open and PGA Champion, and reigning Open Championship winner Francesco Molinari to make a stand.

However, you can never discount other big-time golfers like Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas, who will all be playing in the 2019 PGA Championship.

The Course

Long Island is no stranger to championship-level golf. In fact, just last year, the U.S. Open was played on Long Island. Not to mention, Farmingdale’s Bethpage State Park, one of Long Island’s top public courses, has been home to many previous U.S. Opens, and will even host the Ryder Cup in 2024.

However, this year, Bethpage State Park will be hosting the 2019 PGA Championship. The park may be home to five 18-hole courses, but the tournament will only be played on the elite, world-famous Black Course.

In the spirit of growing interest and participation in the game of golf, the PGA will be offering free admission to the grounds for juniors 17 years of age or younger.

Transportation

Since there’s no convenient parking for the 2019 PGA Championship, transportation can get confusing with the mix of shuttles and public transportation. Therefore, make sure that you always get to the course safely and on time by grabbing a ride with All Island.

The 2019 PGA Championship is guaranteed to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year, so purchase your tickets today before they’re all gone!
