The San Gennaro Feast: New York’s Famous Italian Festival

This month, Little Italy will come alive again in celebration of the 90th Annual San Gennaro Feast. It will run for 11 days from Thursday, September 15th, through Sunday, September 25th. The festival will feature some of the most authentic Italian delicacies and traditions anywhere in the world outside of Italy. It opens at 11:30 AM every day and closes at 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Alive After Five: Long Island’s Biggest Street Fair

The 15th annual Alive After Five, hosted by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, is Long Island’s biggest and best street fair. The event is always held on Thursdays (starting after five, as the name suggests, and runs until 9:30pm). The festival combines music, food, drink, the arts, and plenty of craft vendors for a truly memorable experience. Where else on Long Island can you attend a street fair of this magnitude? Alive After Five should definitely be your next weekday excursion.
